Wet Weather Notice...

After what has now been confirmed as the wettest March for 40 years, we have been lucky at Hamerton not to have the part-closures other zoos have had to introduce, as widely as Oxfordshire to Cheshire - BUT we may have to continue our annual play-area closure to (and maybe ? over) the holiday weekend, IF the torrential rain forecast for Wednesday and Thursday actually materialises.
We had intended to open the area tomorrow, but this decision has now been put off until Thursday.
Please also take note that in line with Government regulations, all zoo walk-through aviaries in England (including ours) remain closed due to their Avian Influenza policy.
