Three-banded Armadillo
14/04/2022
Another new species has arrived at the Park, continuing the expansion and variety
of our collection of animals.
A young male Three-banded Armadillo will spend the next 4 weeks in his legally required isolation, before joining our Sloths. A female is due to join him later in the year.
Armadillos are strange animals, both quite familiar and little understood. They are well known for rolling up to protect themselves from predators - but only the Three-banded can form a complete ball, with its triangular head and tail neatly fitting together to complete their defences.
