New Snakes Arrive...
06/11/2022
Two new species of Australian Python will be coming to the Park during November.
The first actually arrived yesterday, and we will post more details once we have some pictures after the second species is received. Both are very interesting and rarely seen in zoos, and continue the unique experience we can offer our visitors; with an array of such unusual and fascinating animals, so close to home.

The first of these two species is now on show in our reptile house. The Anthill Python is the World's smallest python and one of Australia's smallest snakes. Rarely seen in western zoos, they never grow to more than 2 feet long. Sometimes called pygmy pythons, their common name comes from their habit of taking refuge in the cool of termite mounds during the hot Aussie summer.
