Your support directly contributes to the care, feeding, enrichment, and welfare of your chosen species – and you’ll get some fantastic perks in return.
Why Your Support Matters
Unlike zoos in many other countries, British zoos receive no government funding – in fact, nearly 20% of your ticket price goes straight to taxes. We also pay full commercial rates to the council, just like a factory would.
Unlike local parks, heritage sites or rescue shelters, we don’t receive council or charitable subsidies. That means every penny we raise comes from our visitors and supporters like you – and every penny goes back into caring for our animals.
Running a high-welfare zoo costs a lot – from specialist diets and heating to 24/7 expert care – and our sponsorship programme is a great way for you to get involved in helping directly.

- Two single-use guest passes (for Category A animal sponsorships)
