Zebra Paddock Completed

17/07/2012

The cold wet spring of 2012 has held up a lot of building work at the Park, but we are progressing now. A break in the weather has allowed the 2 acre Zebra paddock to be finished along with alterations to their sand-yard and access race. Movement of such animals from one enclosure to another can always be risky, but our herd took it in their stride (literally!) and are now enjoying the new space and new grass. Look out for them to the side of our overflow car-park up towards the wind-turbines. Interestingly both kinds of Zebras ignore the turbines, as do our other equines, and indeed all of the other animals. It is often stated that turbines frighten horses, but this appears to be another myth and just propaganda put out by anti-turbine campaigners. We have proved the opposite..
