Visiting Hamerton Zoo Park...

20/03/2020

Following the latest advice from the UK Government, Hamerton Zoo Park is fully open.

As a result of the Government instructions issued today, from tomorrow we will be offering our visitors a take away service for hot and cold food and drinks.

During these unknown times, Hamerton Zoo Park is fully committed to providing a safe and relaxed break from the problems of daily life for our members and visitors who are able to come to see us. 'Social distancing' will always be hard, and outside spaces will be needed now, more than ever.

Strictly following Government guidelines, Hamerton Zoo Park is fully open, with extra precautions in place - offering as always, the chance to see our wonderful animals in our open, uncrowded, outdoor setting in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside.

As always, our conditions of entry are displayed at the entrance and around the park. These are strictly enforced for the welfare of our staff, visitors and animals.

All zoos are very different - the animals we keep, our aims and ethos, our geographical location, and indeed the numbers of visitors. We have no closed indoor animal houses or play barns, so have not had to change these; and our coffee-shop which was always planned to offer the facility, is now fully 'take-away' only.

This updates any other details elsewhere on our web-site which is not easy for us to edit.

The situation is under constant review, and if Government instructions change, we will post both here and on our social media pages.

Up-date - 21/03/2020 - Following recent improvements in the weather, our out-door play-park has re-opened today! - but please do note that our hand-full of special events and conservation fundraising days are postponed pending Government directions.
