Thousands of trees...

11/03/2016

The winter of 2015-16 has been very mild and quite wet at times. It is always a very busy time of year, with lots of site work going on. This year is no exception, as alongside our many other projects, an area of woodland is being planted. This consists of a few conifers, but mainly several species of Willow and Poplar which should soon help provide browse for the animals and branching for our enclosures. Over two thousand trees will have been planted by the end of the season. In the meantime we are always looking for natural branching for our aviaries and other enclosures. Most timbers are suitable, native species and even Leylandii. If any tree surgeons could provide a supply we would be very interested to hear from you.
